Terry Haygood

Terry Haygood, as the AI Agency Manager and Tech Consultant at the Mississippi AI Agency, brings a comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies to the table, particularly focusing on Generative AI and ethical considerations in tech. As a graduate student in Computer Science at Jackson State University, his educational journey has been marked by a proactive approach to understanding both the technical and ethical dimensions of AI. Through courses such as "Microsoft 365 Copilot First Look," "What Is Generative AI?," and "Ethics in the Age of Generative AI," Terry has showcased his commitment to grasping the complexities of AI technologies. His certifications from Microsoft and LinkedIn highlight his deep interest in the field, emphasizing his readiness to tackle future challenges and opportunities. Terry’s skills in Generative AI, search engine technology, AI for business, and more position him as a forward-thinking professional prepared to make significant contributions to the tech landscape.

Ka’Pri Burden

Ka’Pri Burden is a standout Computer Science major at Jackson State University, actively bridging the gap between technology and business strategy. Her engagement in leadership roles, such as her position in the Society for Women Engineers underscores her commitment to her academic and professional communities. Ka’Pri’s internships, including a significant role at Deloitte and as a Student Trainee at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), have provided her with valuable real-world experience. Her involvement in projects like ChromaSoul demonstrates her innovative approach to leveraging technology in art, further enhancing her portfolio. Ka’Pri’s dedication to her studies and continuous learning through certifications and courses in Generative AI and the OpenAI GPT API sets a solid foundation for her future endeavors in tech.

Jaylen Crump

Jaylen Crump, with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Jackson State University and an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design from Hinds Community College, applies his creative skills in various professional settings. Jaylen is enhancing his technological skill set by getting certified in Python and C++ programming languages, aiming to broaden his expertise in the technology field. He has completed certifications in Generative AI through Microsoft and LinkedIn, illustrating his commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies. Additionally, Jaylen has completed a 10-week User Experience curricular track with the Black Venture Capital Consortium (BVCC) at Jackson State University, further expanding his skills in UX design.

Brandon Newton

Brandon Newton, a Computer Engineering student at Jackson State University, actively explores the intersections of AI, technology, and business. His participation in a significant HBCU CodePath event, visiting major tech companies, has provided him with invaluable insights into AI's potential and ethical considerations. Brandon's academic background is enriched by a Certificate in Business: Innovation, Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Commercialization from Rutgers Business School. Kolin Higgins, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Jackson State University, has a keen interest in web development, cyber security, and data analytics. MyKinzi Roy


MyKinzi Roy is an emerging talent at Jackson State University, where she is refining her craft as a Graphic Design major. Originating from St. Louis, Missouri, MyKinzi has quickly distinguished herself with a versatile skill set, excelling in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop Elements, and demonstrating a sharp acumen for editing. Her engagement with graphic design software showcases her ability to navigate complex design tasks with ease. Offering services ranging from graphic design to marketing consulting, MyKinzi's portfolio is a testament to her broad capabilities and her vision for design that resonates on multiple levels. Notably, her creation of the Southern Spark Logo for Mississippi's first state-wide AI Conference in July 2024 underscores her capacity for impactful design work that speaks to broader audiences.

Bethvour Chike

Bethvour Chike is a driven Computer Engineering student at Jackson State University, actively exploring and contributing to the fields of VR, AR, Mixed Reality, Web3, and Blockchain. His programming proficiency spans several languages, including Dart, Flutter, C++, HTML, CSS, Python, and Java. Bethvour’s roles as a Student Ambassador and Career Exploration Officer, along with his TechWise Fellowship with TalentSprint associated with Google, showcase his leadership and commitment to technological advancement.
